Beyond the Basics - finding the perfect colors

Finding the perfect colors for your room is not always easy. When you begin to shop for pieces for your newly-decorated room, there is typically something that catches your eye and you just HAVE to have it. It can become your inspiration piece. Whether it's a piece of furniture (fabric), curtains, artwork or a carpet, pull colors from that piece and build upon them. If nothing jumps out at you in your shopping travels, look in your closet. Your outfits may also give you a clue as to where to start!
