I can't help but think of being in my nana's house as a little girl back in the 70s when I see this starburst mirror. She had a starburst clock that would probably be worth some money today. The starburst clock came into fashion in the 1950s, designed by architect and designer, George Nelson. Nelson's clocks are still around today, being sold through hive.com and Vitra.com. Some of the newer styles have a 21st century twist to them, with brighter colors or other more modern features, but still with the same feel. I can't help but love this starburst style. Not only for its timeless design, but for the nostalgia I feel when I see it. It reminds me of a simpler time–the days when my brother and I would spend the night at nana's house filling ourselves with lots of snacks and staying up late watching Love Boat and Fantasy Island. Those were the days.
